Esta pelota fue el símbolo del campamento del pasado verano. Con ella hicimos nuestro vídeoclip "Give me everything tonight". Ahora descansa a la espera de nuevos jóvenes que vuelvan el próximo verano para jugar con ella y realizar otras muchas actividades...

I want to say thanks. When I came here, I didn´t think I´d miss anyone but now, I will. I´ll miss you all of you because I had a great time. Kitesurfing was great and so were all the nights and activities! Yes, everything was greart because you all made it great!

I will miss this love box, the little gossips, Kerian´s dance, Odette´s "stop it", the italians speaking Italian and us not understanding...I´ll also miss the monitors; you guys were great! Thank to you we had a great time.

I am going to miss loads of things, but for sure, there is one thing that I´ll keep: The good memories of this camp!

Se acerca el final de una grandísima experiencia, por lo que los profesores hemos decidido participar en este buzón con la intención de que algo nuestro quede para siempre con vosotros. Lo difícil será que nosotros olvidemos lo bien que nos habéis tratado y que, pese a no haber dormido bajo un mismo techo, habéis logrado que nos sintamos uno más de esta familia que es Lenguaventura.

A los alumnos, que aunque quizás no lo sepan, también nosotros hemos aprendido de ellos, de su cultura, de sus países, de sus idiomas... Nuestra intención no se centraba sólo en enseñar español sino también en inculcar una serie de valores y conocimientos culturales que esperamos haber conseguido. Nos habéis hecho disfrutar de nuestro trabajo y habéis logrado que, más que un trabajo, esto se convirtiera en un placer. Una parte de vosotros siemrpe quedará en nosotros.

A los super-monitores: Lo primero que queremos agradecerles es toda la ayuda que nos han ofrecido siempre que se lo hemos pedido. Cuando necesitábamos algo, ellos siempre estaban ahí para ayudarnos. Pese a trabajar 24 horas y 7 días a la semana, siempre tenían una energía inagotable de la que nos han contagiado en todo momento.

Cuando dentro de mucho tiempo recordemos este mes, no nos acordaremos de la playa, con África al fondo, ni del encanto de Tarifa con esa mezcla de gente y culturas, sino que nos acordaremos de todos y cada uno de vosotros y de los buenos momentos que hemos compartido juntos. Podríamos decir mil cosas más pero sólo diremos GRACIAS Y HASTA PRONTO.

Una dieta saludable / A healthy diet

Durante el campamento no paramos de hacer actividades y gastamos mucha energia, por eso es muy importante comer bien y sano. La fruta es algo esencial en nuestra dieta diaria y a nuestros jóvenes les encanta.

During the camp we don´t stop doing activities and we spent lot of energy, that is why it is important eat healthy. Fruit is something essential in our diet and our kids love it!

El buzón es una de las actividades que más gustan a nuestros chicos. Cada noche, antes de dormir leemos las cartas que han escrito durante el día. En esta ocasión, Sonny nos quiso dar las gracias a todos por su feliz estancia:

The Mailbox is one of the activities that kids enjoy most. Every night, before going to the bed, we read all the letters they have written during the day. In this occasion, Sonny wanted to thank us for his happy stay:

Bilingual Camp with Spanish kids in Tarifa

Mid-May Lenguaventura spent an exciting week with a Spanish group of 12-14 years old kids who came to Tarifa for a 4-days Camp experience with the objective of practising English what usually is neglected somehow in the classroom for lack of time.

We had many activities prepared just to make the kids talk in English. Although we are in May the weather was not quite summery but whatever we proposed the group, the kids were so into it and participated with energy and enthusiasm even in the activities outside in the rainy weather.

The teachers, three young women, who accompanied the group encouraged and supported the group and participated actively in all activities even though there were some wet ones, caused by the rainy weather.

The commitment from the kids, their teachers and of course from our group leaders showed once again that the generation which obviously only knows how to use facebook, twitter, etc. is still able to enjoy themselves without electronic devices if you dedicate them your time. We did not have time for TV and Internet and I have not had the impression that the kids needed it as they had enough distraction and learned more practical things, such as fellowship, English, respect for the nature and self-confidence which are important elements to head for a successful future.

The school who organised the trip for their kids gave them an unforgettable and hopefully eye opening experience which will last for a long time. Congratulation from our side to their motivated staff.

.......and the personal conclusion from Lenguaventura; youth is not lost just give them attention and learn them passion for whatever they do paired with a sane spirit of competitivity.
